Kirsten Graves is a Registered Dietitian (RD) that has been providing nutrition and health education since 2007. Kirsten’s work with clients is collaborative and compassionate. Her philosophy in working with individuals and families is to guide them to build a positive relationship with food that ultimately leads to better health. Kirsten is a nutrition expert that practices a science-based philosophy, which does not include nutrition myths or gimmicks.
Kirsten received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She obtained a post-baccalaureate degree in Nutrition from California State University, Long Beach and completed her dietetic internship at San Francisco State University. Kirsten completed her Master of Science degree Health Science and Nutrition in 2016 from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Kirsten has been fortunate to have worked in a variety of medical nutrition therapy and research settings including: Children’s Hospital Oakland, San Francisco General Hospital, and San Francisco Perinatal Associates. She has developed and led a variety of nutrition and physical activity groups for families and adolescents. Kirsten spent many years working in the Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program for adults and adolescents at Kaiser Permanente. She is in the process of completing the “Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CERD)” program with the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), which has allowed her to better understand how to work with a variety of clients. Currently Kirsten works in the sports nutrition department with athletes at the University of California, Berkeley in addition to her private practice. She consults with our staff here at Endurance and provides workshops and classes to our clients.
