Dr. Marti is a clinical psychologist who specializes on working with youth and families challenged by ADHD and Executive Functioning Deficits. She also works on issues of relationship traumas, life transitions, depression and anxiety. Her strength based clinical approach utilizes an integration of structural family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, eco-adventure therapy, solution focused, experiential learning and mindfulness-based strategies. She has provided psychotherapy services for 17 years within community based mental health clinics, wrap around restorative justice programs, international school counseling departments, wilderness therapy programs and adventure therapy private practice.
She provides therapy in the office and in the field as an adventure eco-therapist and creatively provides empowering experiential learning opportunities for individuals and/or families in the restorative outdoors. With the use of adventure activities in nature, she organically develops a trusting relationship with her clients and compassionately bridges adventure experiences with clinical needs to enhance self-awareness, goal attainment, wellbeing and personal growth.
She has experience with multi-stressed families and youth at risk and is a certified Parent Child Interaction Therapist, a member of the Outdoor Behavioral Health Care Council, and a consultant for families inquiring about Wilderness Therapy Programs for their teens and young adults.
