Kaitlyn Covey, AMFT

Supervised by Dr. Cory Nyamora

Kaitlyn Covey is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with children, teens, and adults as they navigate life and the overwhelm that comes with it. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Fullerton.

Kaitlyn has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings. Her work includes supporting children with ADHD and Autism in a boarding school environment, working with adults with developmental disabilities to build life and vocational skills, and volunteering within LGBTQIA2S+ community spaces. She practices from a client-centered approach that is neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-informed.

Kaitlyn brings both lived experience and clinical training into the therapy room. Her goal is to create a space where clients do not have to mask or shrink to be understood. She collaborates with clients to create realistic goals that build self-understanding by utilizing emotional regulation and coping strategies that feel sustainable. Her style is warm with an emphasis on curiosity and genuine connection.
