Jenita Prasad, MA, Psychology Trainee

Supervised by Dr. Cory Nyamora.

Jenita Prasad is a third-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis, and holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Her clinical experience includes working with elementary through high school students through the Vacaville Police Department’s Youth Services Division, as well as serving unhoused individuals and survivors of human trafficking.

With a strong passion for family systems therapy, childhood trauma work, and serving military veterans, Jenita approaches her clients with sincere empathy, cultural humility, and a genuine desire to support healing across generations. As a bilingual therapist fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, she brings a culturally attuned lens to her work with both Eastern and Western clients.

Her training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Play Therapy. Jenita is dedicated to creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. She believes that therapy is not just about addressing symptoms but empowering individuals and families to reconnect with their strengths, grow through their challenges, and move toward meaningful change.

Outside of her clinical work, she finds joy and restoration in spending quality time with her family. Whether it's weekend getaways to nature retreats like Lake Tahoe, movie nights, cooking meals together, or late-night conversations with her college-aged children, she believes in nurturing the same balance, love, and emotional connection at home that she strives to help her clients create in their own lives.
