Alexis Sutherland is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT148985). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Davis, where she competed as a Division I Track and Field student-athlete, and her Master of Science in Counseling from CSU Fullerton.
Alexis is passionate about working with adolescents, couples, and families. She integrates Narrative Therapy, along with Person-Centered and Multicultural frameworks, into her work and approaches therapy from a relational and systemic lens. Her goal is to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping with stress and life transitions.
In her work, Alexis supports clients in building effective communication and strengthening connections. She has a special interest in working with athletes and former athletes, helping them navigate identity development, family dynamics, and the challenges that come with high expectations. She also supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and neurodivergence. Her style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental.
