Children are finding the Fit Family Swim training more interesting with every passing week. The children completed their sixth of the eight-week training today with stories about what they had achieved. They were telling their stories to Dr. Carey Shaffer from Endurance--a Sports and Psychology Center. The Center's Director, Dr. Cory Nyamora, doubled the training period to eight weeks in response to requests from parents and children.
Healthy Hearts Program at Children’s Hospital Oakland is sponsoring the training, with swimming instructors from Mills College, California. The children and their families also receive instructions on how to keep healthy and fit through proper nutrition and exercises.
The next training session will be on Saturday (December 7, 2013) from 10 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
